The Bengali crime thriller web series Kaalratri delves into themes of danger, treachery, and the paranormal. The show centers on Debi, a young bride who, the day after her wedding, the prophecy about her husband's death comes true, entangling her in a web of secrets and scandals.  

"Frightful night" is what the word "Kaalratri" means, and it also describes a Bengali marriage custom. The show centers on the bride's first visit to her in-laws' home the night after the wedding ceremony.
